    What We Do

Over the years the organisation has recognized hundreds of individuals, business men and women, dignitaries, and those in military service. It played a key role in the setting up of the sister state relationship between Taiwan and Nevada and the sister city relationship between Reno, Nevada and Taichung, Taiwan. It participates in trade missions and works to establish connections to help further encourage economic development. It actively promotes goodwill between Nevada and other countries, especially Taiwan. It has raised money for schools (high school and University), supported students through education and travel, and supported veteran events and memorials. It also helps raise funds in cases of natural disasters or hardships.

Our members are volunteers who contribute in time and money to further the causes of the organisation.

    Founders

The International Goodwill Ambassadors Inner Circle was founded by Mei Herbert (appointed International Goodwill Ambassador for the State of Nevada by Nevada Governor Richard Bryant in 1987) and her husband and local businessman George Herbert. Both have a history of service to the community. The organization was founded as a way to give back to the community, strengthen ties between Nevada and Taiwan, recognize individuals and service men and women, promote goodwill, and promote trade and economic development.
